Turns
out that people who communicate with their friends on a regular basis
via the social networking site Facebook, enjoy high esteem for the self,
but the ability to control them, what makes them more likely to eat
unhealthy so to excess weight.
According
to the daily mail newspaper that researchers at the universities of
"Colombia" and "Pittsburgh" found in a new study that those chatting
with close friends via Facebook have higher levels of self-esteem, but
it causes them in turn a decrease in the ability to self control.
And
the lack of ability to breath control that people probably will have a
tendency to eat unhealthy food when you exit IM, especially with close
friends.
The
researchers said, quoted by the "Ubi", that "the use of social
networking can positively affect the self-esteem of users who focus on
close friends by using their social network. Their rapid assessment leads to a decrease in self control after the visit.
The
researchers examined the link between Facebook use and poor self
control, and what they eat and the amount of money that counteract, and
found that those who use the site to connect with friends are more
likely to binge eating and weight, were more likely to spend.
These results did not apply to people who focus on communicating with do not know closely.
The
researchers noted that the findings are of concern because of the
increased time spent by people using social networking sites.
