US study results showed that e-mail alerts may encourage doctors to treat cancer patients to talk to their patients terminally on their wishes before death and those wishes in their medical records.

Researchers said in a report published in the journal clinical therapy that Oncologists who are reminded every time that one of their patients has begun receiving chemotherapy, are probably those who are turning to the wishes of their patients before they worsen the severity of the disease.

Jennifer Temel said his commander study conducted in cancer treatment center in Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston if the age of the patient following a medical emergency before clear medical wishes it always becomes a difficult situation for doctors and family alike ".

"Doctors tend to be very bad if their patients before they put the idea reveal their wishes before death, although everyone believed that such discussions when patients in case of degradation".

Temel and her colleagues conducted a survey among doctors and nurses to address cancer patients before death with hopelessly from her recovery including reporting on how they would like through which health care providers asking them to such talk.

Researchers then designed and tested an email reminds doctors when they meet with patients coming to start chemotherapy for sessions they approach them to reveal their desires.

The study included 100 people living with advanced cases of lung cancer. A year after launching the e-mail alerts through a little over a third of the patients wishes are documented in electronic health records.

The researchers said that in comparison, during the period before the alert was posted less than 15 percent of people diagnosed as lung cancer from terminally desires before entering the hospital.

During this time, most of the patients record their wishes have been included in the box not to use means of recovery, meaning they don't want doctors to take violent action to keep them alive.
