In the worst outbreak in the world over the past 20 years, yellow fever gripped the Croup and cause you to receive more than 800 cases of the disease, which is transmitted by mosquitoes, especially in the Darfur region since the start of the outbreak last October.

Sudan recently acknowledged as experiencing high risk the spread of yellow fever, and that they had approved with conditions to start a vaccination campaign against the disease.

And the representative of the World Health Organization (who) commented on Darfur Dr. unshō Banerjee on this health problem, stressing that little Sudanese people were fortified against the disease and that an emergency vaccination campaign against the disease in people en route to start in Sudan.

The first phase of the vaccination programme began on 21 November to cover 2.2 million people while the second phase will begin this month to vaccinate more people facing the risk of disease and their numbers are estimated at 1.2 million.

Referring to the emergence of the disease in other African countries such as Cameroon, these States had to provide vaccines against the disease in childhood vaccination programs.

Sudan did not have these vaccines to vaccinate children against the disease and have begun to provide this vaccine under compulsory vaccination in childhood but unfortunately after the emergence and spread of disease.

And limited the spread of the disease to rural areas in Darfur but that the risk of spread to urban areas, including refugee camps in Darfur still exist, as this is the worst outbreak we've seen worldwide by more than 20 years.

On the other hand yellow fever is endemic in tropical regions of Africa and South America, a vaccine to prevent infection but there is no specific property can be approached from the, and in severe cases may cause disease in causing bleeding and nausea, hepatic and renal failure
